The Golden Trevally, Gnathanodon speciosus, is a large predatory fish with an extremely broad tropical Indo-Pacific distribution that crosses many biogeographical boundaries. Both published information and freely available imagery suggest small juvenile G. speciosus are often associated whale sharks, Rhincodon typus; association could explain the unusually widespread of suggests novel nursery relationship. possibility such has potential to reshape our understanding ecological roles played by long-range migrants as R. typus other megafauna, full extent their conservation value, how we manage both members
